ARTISt STATEMENT
I am inspired by the lines of movement in dance, the human figure in the discipline of athleticism and the grace of movement. Also inspiring is the exquisite landscapes I enjoy being a native of and living in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Sonoma County vineyard region. The energy of the coastline, the ocean, the movement of water, the flight of birds, the rocks, the earth, the sky and the ever changing fog, all move me. My forte is, how we as living beings, are connected to every life form, plant, animal, land, sea, air, water, earth, fire and that our heart connections to all of these elements create the sustainability of our planet. The intention is to do art that communicates that in totality. How we are connected as we create the health of our planet all together, all of us; all elements, all humans, all lifeforms. You will find these energies and connections in my paintings.
I have been traveling since the age of nine, in Western Europe, the Yucatan, British Columbia, Mexico and Hawaii. The museums of Western Europe still draw me there and give a multicultural influence to my work.
